“Ascension and Multidimensional living—Musing from the Akashic Records” By Kathy Karlander
What is ascension? Ascension is the process of raising your frequency to a higher level. In basic terms, it is the letting go of the old while embracing the new. Sometimes it can be hard to embrace a new way of thinking, a new way of living, a new way of being because we are so trapped by our pasts. It can be difficult to reach for the possibilities of change, when we are weighted down by the ‘way it has always been’.
I found myself thinking of change, thinking of the all the talk in the metaphysical community about the year 2012 and the ‘big changes’ that are supposed to be coming. There is much speculation about how that shift is going to occur and what it will look like when it is done. For me, I have always had this image of two earths superimposed over each other. At first, there appears to be only one earth. As time goes by, the two overlapping earths begin to separate, fanning away from each other much like fanning a deck of cards. For a period of time there is still some overlap. I see this like a Venn Diagram
There is a portion that is unique to each planet, while there is a ‘shared’ portion between the two. In the beginning before the separation began all we had was the shared portion. All souls lived in the shared portion. As the two earths began to move and separate unique frequencies were created in the two planets. Some souls found themselves resonating with the unique frequencies and moved from the shared portion to the unique portion, essentially ‘ascending’ to the ‘new earth’. Some souls are still living in the shared portion, but the shared portion is getting smaller with each passing day.
Eventually the shared portion will no longer exist. All souls will exist on one or the other versions of earth, but will not inhabit portions of both simultaneously. This allows for those souls who are ready to move forward a place to go, a chance to experience a different set of Universal Laws and Creation. It also allows a place for the souls who choose to continue the cycles on the version of earth we have been on for eons. There is no judgment in the choice, it is out of Love that the choice is given.
To make this easier to understand, imagine yourself standing in a pool waist deep in the water. The half of your body that is underwater is subject to a particular set of ‘Universal Laws’. The Laws of living underwater tell us our bodies move more gracefully, and more slowly than they would above water. We are more buoyant, and we cannot breathe without special equipment.
Now the half of us above water is subject to a slightly different set of Universal Laws. We can move more easily and we can breathe freely. Yet, we cannot float on the air. If you dive under water you are completely immersed in the Universal Laws of underwater living. If you get out of the water and stand on the deck, you are completely immersed in the Universal Laws of living above the water. BUT, in that moment when you simply stand up in the waist deep water you are existing simultaneously in two different realities, subject to two slightly different sets of Universal Laws. You are living in a shared experience, like the middle of the Venn Diagram.
So you see, this concept of existing in two different realities is not really something new to us. We have done it over and over again without question. It is as natural as breathing.
I sometimes find myself confused about how things work in this world because a part of me is expecting it to be different (like a part of me is already living in the future, or an alternate reality. And, in this reality I totally understand the laws of manifestation and creation. Yet when I try to apply that knowledge in the here and now it does not work.)
In the past I did not really understand what I was experiencing. Now I do. Now I understand that a part of me is living “above the water”—living in an alternate reality with complete knowledge of how to operate in that reality, while another part of me is living “below the water”—living the way we are used to living in the here and now.
I realize now that I was tapping into the Laws of one place and trying to implement them in another, and it just doesn’t work that way. It would be like me trying to breathe under water without special tools or equipment.
Here is another rambling thought…I believe that we are all evolving to a new ‘dimension’ and that in our own way we are each standing in that pool of water right now, experiencing both realities to a certain extent. The difference is that each one of us is standing in a different amount of water, some may barely have there heads out of the water while others are standing ankle deep. I believe the water represents our old way of life, while the air represents where we are evolving to and what we are becoming. We are slowly but surely letting go of our old ways of living, while embracing the new.
This time of transition is going to be different for each person. Some may choose to ‘drain the pool’ quickly, while others choose to tread water for a long, long time.
I invite you to ask yourself, how deep is the water you are standing in? How fast do you want to drain your pool? I challenge you to find an integrate the best parts of each reality into this your current physical body, so that you may enjoy the best of both worlds, for as long as you exist in this ‘shared’ state of being– while you are waiting for the pool water to drain out completely!
